LAHORE: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) candidate Colonel (r) Mubashir Javaid has b
een elected as Lahore’s Lord Mayor.
Javaid was elected unopposed,
after the Election Commis
sion of Pakistan (ECP) rejected the nomination of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) candidate Afeef Siddiqui
after his party failed to complete the panel.
The PML-N has 228 seats in Metropolitan Corporation of Lahore (MCL) out of the to
tal 274 and the PTI only has 10 seats.
